This that and the other

A friend of mine at work, Judy, introduced me to this amazing magazine.  It is called Life Beautiful and it is filled with gorgeous pictures, Inspirational articles, Recipes & Crafts.  I recommend it to anyone.

The other day I found myslef without paper towels or napkins and it was a horrible thing! I found out how much I really use those things.  I know I could use a dish rag or sponge but I feel like all those do is spread germs around (Chylie, I know you are going to be mad because you are a "green" girl). My name is Meagan and I am addicted to paper towels, napkins & wipes of any type.

I don't know if any of you have been able to watch the new show Parenthood.  It is now 5 episodes in and it is such a good show.  It has such heart and definitely has everything regarding parenthood. There has not been an episode where I have not cried.  It is funny, sad, drama & REAL!  If you have not seen it I challenge you to watch an episode, it is on Thursday nights on NBC.

Shindig

We had a shindig at our house last Friday and lots of people came! My friend Kaysee was in town from Texas so I figured it was time to have some fun!

We had lots of friends, family & food.  Thank you so much to everyone who came.  These pictures are from my moms camera so I did not get pictures of everyone who was there.  Thank you Mom & Dad, Stacey & Justin, Jess & Christa & Mike & Anita for makinig it a great shindig along with the peeps in the picures.

Somehow Jon talked me in to getting another dog.  I'm not really sure what exactly happened but I remember a lot of yelling and a promise to always do the dishes.

Great Perspective

One day, the father of a very wealthy family took his son on a trip to the country with the express purpose of showing him how poor people live.
They spent a couple of days and nights on the farm of what would be considered a very poor family.
On their return from their trip, the father asked his son, "How was the trip?"
"It was great, Dad."
"Did you see how poor people live?" the father asked...
"Oh yeah, " said the son.
"So, tell me, what did you learn from the trip?" asked the father.

The son answered:
"I saw that we have one dog and they had four.
We have a pool that reaches to the middle of our garden and they have a creek that has no end.
We have imported lanterns in our garden and they have the stars at night.
Our patio reaches to the front yard and they have the whole horizon.
We have a small piece of land to live on and they have fields that go beyond our sight.
We have servants who serve us, but they serve others.
We buy our food, but they grow theirs.
We have walls around our property to protect us, they have friends to protect them."
The boy's father was speechless.
Then his son added, "Thanks Dad for showing me how poor we are."

Isn't perspective a wonderful thing? Makes you wonder what would happen
If we all gave thanks for everything we have, instead of worrying about
What we don't have.
Appreciate every single thing you have , especially your family and friends!

Shave and a haircut to bits

The kids got shaving kits for Christmas and were dying to get their shave on!

So Jon finally showed them how to do it and they had so much fun!

I wouldn't know what to do with a girl.  I am in a house full of boys, including the dog!!

Flip Flops

I love flip flops!

I am now wearing them again.  As long as the temperature is above 40 then that is what you will see me wearing.

I am also VERY anxious for warm weather to come!

I usually love the cold weather but I have just been feeling so down and I just need the sun to shine again.

Jon Gave me flowers, a necklace & a movie. I gave him a Star Wars t-sirt & a watch.

Some people want a grand piano in the corner. Not me, I want a cool retro guitar! Jons brother Jesse has the coolest looking guitar that is so retro and I just love it. I have no idea how to play but I sure like looking at it!
