Hot lunch/Last Days of school

Jon & I got to go to Hudson's school and have hot lunch with him.  He has to learn how the whole lunch thing works since he will be starting 1st grade in August.
It pretty much looked like this picture.  There were nuggets, fries, a roll, a cookie, a side of fruit and milk.  It was so much food.  I think that it is such a waste to give kids that much food because half or more ends up in the garbage.  I do not remember having so much food on my tray.  But we ate it and Hudson actually ate quite a bit of it (he is a very slow eater), I hope next year he can eat fast enough to have time to play!
It did take me back to my elementary days when I had hot lunch every day. I never got cold lunch.  I was a little bitter about it,   I longed for a capri sun or a ding dong,  but I settled for a hot dog bun with ketchup (no, I did not eat the hot dog).  I do remember special days when they would have root beer milk.  It sounds gross but it was oh so good!
I am glad that both Jon & I were able to spend the time with Hudson.  He is a good kid, most of the time!  And now Kindergarten is over and he is on his way to a full day of school.

Here is a picture of Hudson and his teacher Mrs. Reusch.  She has been a great teacher for him.  She has taken the time to make sure that Hudson is at the correct skill level and is able to move up quickly, ecspecially with his reading.  I have to brag because most kindergartners leave at a reading level of B but Hudson started out the year at a K.  Go Huddy!

Thanks Mrs Reusch!

Sports. Sports, Sports

Did I mention sports?
Seriously this has been my life for the past few months.
Huddy played Flag Football & Baseball & Jon is still playing softball.
So every weekday has pretty much been practices or games.
Luckliy Hudson will be done for a little while.  He has taken such a liking to baseball recently.  Him & Jon have started watching baseball on TV and doing a lot of playing catch together.
He watches the players so intently and then when it comes time for him to play he imitates them.  He also loves to do whatever they will let him do during Jon's practices.
I am so glad that he is zoning in on one sport.  Next year I will put him in a league where he gets to play in a real field.  He is VERY excited and wants it to come fast.
I think he could do very well at baseball and I hope that he will keep the love alive for it,

Hudson has decided he likes the Yankees because uncle T likes them.  This would be ok but Jon is totally against this.  Jon is a Detroit Tigers fan andthe Yankees is not for him.  So we have a little rivalry going on in our house.  Jon even made him earn money to buy a Yankees hat because he was not going to just buy one.
Boys and their sports!!!!

Look how cute my hubbs is out on the field!

Kaysee and her kids were here from Texas in March and then Kaysee flew in for her sister, Jensen's, graduation in May.  I am so glad that I was able to see her a couple of times this year already! Here are some pictures from when she was here.
