Hello Mountains!

We were finally able to head up to the mountains for a little R & R!
We took up some 4-wheelers and my parents mule and the boys had a great time riding them.

And Hudson had an even better time driving!
My dad let him drive it almost everywhere.

The kids were able to do some fishing and look what they brought back to camp

Then they were taught that if you catch them, you clean them.
They got right in there and got their hands very dirty!

Hangin around the camp getting the much needed rest I needed

We decided that we did not want to have to cook and clean so we headed to the East Canyon resort and ate at the cafe on the veranda!

I was so happy to be away from the city and all of the stresses of life.
I just love having the great outdoors so close to home!

Let Freedom Ring

I love me some 4th of July.  I love the food the family the friends and the FUN!

Yes, I did have my boys in matching clothes and I will do that as long as I can get away with it!

Little Miss Pipie pants was having a rough day but all I can do is squeeze this little girl!

Grady was having a little bit of a moody day

We headed out to the front yard to do some fireworks in the street.
Piper loved to watch them

Our new house has the most AMAZING views of the whole valley.

Toby Keith Y'all

I was able to score free tickets to the Toby Keith concert at the Usana Amphitheatre.  We gathered up some of our peeps and headed out.
When we got there we did not realize how close the seats were to the stage (13 rows back) They were GREAT seats.  We all had a great time

It was a good date night with good friends, good music and no kids  !!!

Good Friends Great Oldies

True Friendship isn't being inseparable.
It's being separated & nothing changes

Kaysee and I have been friends for just about 20 years. (wow how time flies)

Her family was in town and we were able to hang out quite a bit including:
Birthday party (Grady's)
Haircuts (Kaysee lost a lot)
Tacos (mmmmm)
Eating out (El Rancho Grande & La Luna)
Movie Premiere (Safety Not Guaranteed)
Fireworks

I love that our boys have become good friends.  They do not see each other that often, but when they do they have a lot of fun.  They told each other that they are best friends (so cute..I mean cool)
Here are all of our kids (what a cute bunch)

Hey now you're an All-Star

I am such a proud Mama!!

Huddy is an all star and I cannot brag about it enough!
Here he is in his new uniform

I absolutely love the old school uniform look when the socks show
Go #20
He plays for the Copper Hills Cal Ripken league
He plays on the All star 8 team

DADS

Jon is one great dad!
He sacrifices so much of himself for our kids.
Even if they do not show it now in their life I know that in the future they will remember everything that they have learned and will continue to learn from him.  It reminds me of the Brad Paisley song "Anything Like Me"
He's gonna get in trouble, we're gonna get in fights
I'm gonna lose my temper and some sleep
It's safe to say that I'm gonna get my payback if he's anything like me

There's worse folks to be like, oh he'll be alright if he's anything like me

My dad can be a pain in the but most of the time but I know that if I need anything he is always there no matter what. I love him a lot and want him to know that I will always be there for him!

He is such an awesome papa

Mike has been such a great dad to Jon and his siblings.  He is a quiet guy but he shows things with actions.  Jon has learned a lot of things from him on being a good husband and father.

He is also an awesome papa
I am so grateful for all of the dads in my life

Astros

We went to closing ceremonies where Hudson received his trophy and pictues for playing for the Astros team.
The team did not do well this season, They won 0 games but Hudson made some good friends and enjoyed the time he spent with the team.

After a season of baseball playing for the Astros Hudson was selected by his coach to try out for the All Star team. He was one of 24 kids who tried out and he made it!!
Here he is being called up with the team and receiving a new helmet.

He was very excited when he found out that he made it and we are such proud parents!
So here we go to some more baseball!
Go Copper Hills!!

Grady is the BIG...

Yes, the BIG 5!!
For his birthday we spent the day together as a family.  We first went to Boondocks and hit some balls in the batting cage.  Grady did great and was hitting a lot of the balls! We also played arcade games and let Grady have all of the tickets to pick out what prizes he wanted.

After, we took him to "the sports store" where he picked out some batting gloves, a baseball shirt and big league chew.
Then we headed to The Living Planet Aquarium to see the sea creatures!
To end the day we went to Denny's where the kids ate a baseball pancake.

A few days later we had a party at our house where we celebrated with many friends and family.  I appreciate all the love that Grady has from so many people.  Thanks to you all!

Here is his baseball cake

Grady is such a cute boy! I am so grateful that he is in our lives.  He definitely keeps us on our toes!
