August 2011

Pine View
2011
We made our annual trip to Pine View Reservoir. Which is one of my favorite things to do!
This picture was when we were leaving so we look like rag-a-muffins!

We did some beachin'
The kids got to do some craftin'

Every year we have more and more people join us and it just gets funner and funner!

Church Campout

This year we were able to go camping with a bunch of people from our church.  We went to Rockport and we had a lot of fun swimming, eating and fellowshipping together.
We also had worship time on Sunday in the great outdoors.

The Bee's are suite!
My boss gave me tickets for a suite at the Bee's game so we took 16 of our family and friends.
We also were able to enjoy picking out what food we wanted to enjoy. Nacho bar, chicken fingers and a sundae bar!

The Bee even stopped by to say hi to the kids

First day of Second Grade
The first day of school just keeps coming! Hudson started 2nd grade and I always have to take some pictures.
I can't believe that next year both of my kids will be having a first day of school.

August was good to us this year!

July 2011

4th of July
I absolutely LOVE the 4th of July.
I have taken it on as my hostessing gig every year.
We always have a lot of fun things going on for the kids and for the adults.
And of course we always have way too much food!

Fireworks are always a MUST!
We usually have a great view for the big fireworks too.

And we can always count on some good tunes!

The next day we had a little photo shoot in our patriotic attire

Take us out to the ball game!

We were able to go to a Bee's baseball game with friends and family.
It was hot but it was fun and after we were able to enjoy fireworks!

It was a great July!

A Wish for a Fish

We went up to East Canyon for the day to visit my parents and hang out!
Hudson and Grady went down to the lake with my dad and brother.
Hudson cast his pole out...

He started to reel in and they kept telling him to not mess around. "But I have a fish!" he said.

He kept reeling it and they realized he really did have something!

And he sure did!

Pretty good for his first time casting out and reeling it in all on his own!

Grady Turns...

Yes, my baby is now 4.

On his birthday Jon took the day off and took him to:
Toys R Us
McDonald's
and to see Kung Fu Panda
Grady decided he wanted a monster truck birthday party.  Here is my attempt at a monster truck cake:

It turned out pretty good for my first themed cake.
We had friends and family over and had a good time.

He got lots of great stuff from everyone!
We are very grateful for all of the great people we have in our lives to celebrate with us!

Shooting

Over Memorial day weekend we took a day and went out to Erda, UT to do some shooting!
We went with lots of friends and had lots of fun!
Here is Jon with his holster and shooting his 22 shotgun.

The kids had fun plying with their fake guns and also by picking up all the brass shells that had been left by previous shooters.  My friend Stacey took them all in to the recycling center and each kid ended up getting $2 each.

Hudson got a chance to shoot a shotgun and a handgun.  I love how Jon takes the time to explain stuff to our kids so they can learn how to do things.

Next was my turn! I still can't believe that this was my first time holding or shooting a gun.  My dad is an avid hunter and has a safe full of guns and somehow I have never been shown how to use one.  So between Jon and my friends I learned how to hold, aim and shoot a gun.

I have to say I really liked it.  At first I was not hitting any targets but by the end I was hitting cans and bottles!

Here is Huddy looking cool as ever!

Afterwards we headed to our sister-in-laws parents house and enjoyed a BBQ!

Baseball, Baseball, Softball

                                                                   Where have I been?

Well these pictures should answer that...

All my boys are playing ball.
Huddy started Little league baseball and he is lovin' in! He pitched several times and really likes to do it.  I have really enjoyed watching him play on a real field with a real uniform!
He played on the Oakland A's team.

Grady started T-ball this year.
Him and his cousin Marshall played on the same team!
They had a lot of fun and learned a little bit about playing on a team.

Jon is playing softball again this year with our church and is the coach!
We like to go out every Friday night and cheer him on and fellowship with our friends!

Lunch date

I was able to go to lunch with Hudson at school.  I took him his favorite: "a hamburger with ketchup only".  He is such a cute boy and I love to spend one on one time with my kids (they are much better when they are apart!)

Scooters

The kids were able to finally ride their Christmas presents because it was finally above 40 degrees!
