Halloweenie 2012

PUMPKIN CARVING PARTY

This is my friend Stacey...

Every year Stacey has a pumpkin carving party

There are guts to be pulled...

...fun to be had...

...friends to hang out with...

...and prizes to be given!

CHILI COOK OFF &
TRUNK OR TREATING

This year we had a chili cook off and trunk or treating at church.
I entered my chili and it took first runner up!

Then came time to trunk or treat:
Here comes

Alvin
Simon
Theodore
The Chipmunks!

And what would the chipmunks be without Alvin's nemesis Britney the chipette?!

Gettin' the goods

My parents, Chylie and Piper joined us for the fun!

Lots of fun was had!

THE BIG NIGHT

We had our peeps over to our house on Halloween night.
We decided to have a traditional Halloween dinner...Chinese food!
It is not what you usually think of for Halloween but boy was it good! Everyone brought such great dishes.

Here are the kids before they headed out to get their goods.  It was really nice to send out the little kids with the older kids so the adults could hang out and talk!

The Kiddos!

The Ladies!

The babies!

It was a fun Halloween filled month!

Deer Hunt 2012

This year both of my boys got to go on the deer hunt with my dad and my brother.
Boy oh boy did they have lots of fun!

The boys got to shoot a pellet gun for the first time

They always tell me:
"What happens at camp stays at camp!"
I am sure there are a lot of things that I don't know and I guess what I don't know won't kill me!

Hoedown

The youth at our church put on a hoedown for their fundraiser.
We got dressed up for the occasion and had to some good food and good conversation with our friends.
And of course I had to get some pictures!!

Occasionally I have an adopted daughter hangin' around since I have a house full of only boys!

WJ Storm

Hudson played on a super league baseball team for the fall called the West Jordan Storm.
He was able to continue to play with most of the All Star team from his regular league season.
He loves to play baseball and wanted to continue to play it longer so we extended the season for 3 more months.

Here are the boys

Huddy was able to use his pitching skills for most of the season

He was also given the opportunity to play catcher and he did a great job at it.  He is a good athlete and picks up well on all positions

The coaches and their team (minus one coach)
It was a good learning season playing in a more competitive environment.

We are sad to see baseball ending for the year but are grateful for the extra time at home!

Huddy is 9

Huddy had a great 9th birthday.

We gave him money and took him shopping.  He wanted to go to Sports Chalet, Toys R Us and Walmart.
The we let him choose where he wanted to have lunch and he chose Arctic Circle (for the shakes!)

We had a party for him with friends and family and got a lot of loot!

He had a great Birthday!
